Cultivating resilience in the
forest of Norway
Alfheim Regenerative Farm is a 16 hectare farm in the taiga forest of Norway. Our mission is to use permaculture and other regenerative practices to create a thriving ecosystem that feeds ourselves, our community and wildlife. We use domestic animals as a way of introducing fertility into the landscape and increase biodiversity by planting both native and exotic trees and plants. Read more about our story here.
We regularly host volunteers from all over the world, appear as guests lecturers on Permaculture courses and and are in the process of transforming our old, run down barn into a gathering space for retreats and workshops. On the farm, we practice regenerative farming, permaculture, rewilding and self-sufficiency, while also developing Skillcraft—our approach to learning practical skills as a path to resilience and empowerment. From growing our own vegetables, fruits, and berries to preserving food, crafting, and animal care, we embrace a lifestyle rooted in connection, learning, and community. Explore more about our philosophy, our garden and animals, or our upcoming retreats to see how we bring these ideas to life.
